Blue Ridge Parkway Loop

This past Thursday, Rambler members met at the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center and hiked the 1.5 miles loop that starts from there and leads to the Mountains to Sea Trail.  We had so much fun doing the loop...we did it twice!!!  Here I am with two of my hiking buds.

Our hike leader was fascinated by this running cedar we saw by the trail.  It is very pretty, but I learned it is very hard to transplant.

We had to navigate over a tree branch at one point on the trail!  This week we're planning to meet at the Folk Art Center and hike a small section of the Mountain to Sea trail itself.
