Sometime in the last few days I was reading an article about some people who were making these knitted creations and then stitching them onto street signs. Today I saw my very first knitted graffiti! I had just left the Shirlington Library on my way home, and there it was! I was so enthralled by it, that I circled the block so I could pass by it again and take a picture.
I started doing a few internet searches, and found a wikipedia link to an article about the street art, which is also referred to as yarn bombing. Here's a link to the article if you are interested in learning more about knitted graffiti!
