About Me

I moved to Tampa, FL in 1994 after growing up in the foothills of North Carolina. In January 2011, I was accepted into the School of Library and Information Science Master's Program at the University of South Florida (USF). I began this blog as a project for my first USF class. I had so much fun with it that I decided to keep posting! In November 2011, I accepted a promotion and relocated to Arlington, VA. I retired in June 2015 and played tourist for the summer in the DC area before moving to Asheville, NC in the fall. I love to read and I have two cats who provide much joy and entertainment. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.  One of my favorite quotes is by J.R.R. Tolkien in his poem "All That is Gold Does Not Glitter":
