The Phone Photography Project

It's day 4 of The Phone Photography Project online class I'm taking.  I'm really enjoying it so far, although overall I preferred Tammy Strobel's Everyday Magic class better.  Tammy capped the number of students and created a private Facebook group for us to be a part of and share pictures.  The Phone Photography Project does not cap the number of students.  There are so many pictures being posted that I got overwhelmed trying to check them out and finally just stopped even trying.  I like the interaction of a smaller group better.  Just reading the introductory posts from students in The Phone Photography Project was a bit mind-boggling.  The really cool thing is we are literally from all over the world!

I am definitely learning a lot from the class!  I am learning about lots of new apps (there has been at least one app review each day of the class), and have started playing with some of them.  The one I like the best so far is Fuzel.  I learned how to create collages of photos I've taken.

I cheated just a little with the first collage.  The picture of me wasn't taken with my smartphone, but with a Canon digital camera while I was on an Alaskan cruise last year.  But my initials were taken from everyday life objects with my iPhone 4S.  I selected the red, white, and blue border since the 4th of July was only a day or so away when I created the collage.

On July 3rd, a friend of mine from work and I walked over to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival for lunch.  I feel truly blessed that my office is only one block to the rear of the Smithsonian castle and I am literally steps away from the National Mall.  The second collage is from our lunch excursion.

  1. That is a good idea for photos, I like the top one that you could send to a friend overseas.

  2. Great collages.

We want to thank you so very much for your kind words of comfort and friendship after our very sudden loss of Thunder. We are all still very sad, but the support and love from all of our friends from all over the world is helping to heal our broken hearts. We are sure that Thunder Dunder is now in a very happy place and also very thankful to have so many wonderful friends.
