Saturday night Alexia and I went to the Tux and Tails 2011 fundraising event hosted by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay at the Tampa Convention Center. There was a silent and live auction, dinner, and a celebrity fashion show where local news celebrities brought out dogs and kittens available for adoption. A soldier who had been in Afghanistan introduced Leo, a dog rescued from Afghanistan. We enjoyed ourselves and both agreed we would enjoy going again next year. This was the 9th annual event. I think there were about 470 people in attendance.
I definitely support the work the Humane Society does, and am grateful to have found my 4-legged kids there.
