Status of Retirement Annuity

I mentioned in a previous post that I received a letter from OPM regarding what my interim annuity payment will be.  I'm happy to report that my first annuity payment is already showing up in my account!  I am very pleased, as I'd heard it could be 6 weeks or more before a first payment is received.

I have friends that just arrived to stay for the week, one of whom retired at the end of December 2014 from the same agency I worked for.  He said with a couple of months, OPM had his final annuity payment calculated.  That was encouraging to hear!!!
