Teaser Tuesday
Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

My teaser for today:
"Well, your mother will be relieved to know you're okay, and probably more thrilled about this than I am. You sure the Homeland Security people aren't going to ship you off to Guantanamo Bay?"
p.24, "Touched by an Alien" by Gini Koch

I'm just getting ready to start this book, and already from today's teaser I'm wondering what our main character did that her dad thinks might get her shipped off to Guantanamo Bay?!? When I was at the library, I randomly picked up a book that looked interesting, but turned out to be number six or so into a series. And in my usual fashion, I took that book back unread and checked out the first book in the series (I'm a tad OCD that way...gotta start with book 1 in a series!). I am intrigued by the cover art of the first book as much as I am by the teaser!
Nice teaser! Have seen this series around a lot! Hope you're enjoying this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
I'm wondering what she has done, too! I hope you enjoy this story.
ReplyDeleteMy Tuesday post features THE ALL-GIRL FILLING STATION’S LAST REUNION by Fannie Flagg.
I'm the same way about books in regard to starting at the beginning. There's as much sense as starting a series in the middle as starting a book there. I don't even like coming into a movie a few minutes late.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely enjoying the book now that I'm in to it. The author writes with a sense of humor that I find funny (some books and TV shows that are supposed to be funny I find silly instead), which is refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this one but the teaser looks great!
